Mar 22, 2019
Many tests and standards apply to LIONCARE Protective Coveralls. The following section outlines the different options available to help you select the right product for your workers.
1. Three Categories of PPE
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) European Standard Outline EN 2016/425
PPE is divided into three categories according to the potential risks and the protective cover of protective clothing
Category I: PPEs provide basic protection for non-hazardous risks
Category II: PPEs that cannot be clearly defined in Category I or Category III
Category III: PPEs protect against lethal risks or unavoidable serious injuries
2. Protection Types and Additional Standards
As one of the most essential PPE, protective coveralls can be designed for either hazardous applications (certified as CE Category III) or non-hazardous applications (certified as CE Category I). Coveralls for hazardous applications can be tested and certified into six types to provide different levels of protection.
